This undyed Polwarth combed top has a micron count between 22-23 so it is next-to-the skin soft. Polwarth is the best of both worlds and the breed was created by breeding Merino and Lincoln Longwools together and the resulting cross was a fine wool sheep with crimpy, soft locks much like a merino with a touch more luster from the Lincoln Side. For those that feel straight Merino is a little too "grabby" when hand spinning but still want a natural 100% wool yarn will love spinning this Polwarth.
